Hi, and welcome to the Action Driver Training web site.

My name is Steve Sharpe. I’m the proprietor and the sole instructor.Experience has taught me that the only way to ensure my driving school runs to my standard is to be the sole instructor, so I will be the only person teaching you. I qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (A.D.I.) in January 1984 so I’ve been around for a while, also anything with wheels on is my hobby as well as my job. My personal car is a home built sports car, I’m a keen motorcyclist, take part in motor sport and cycle as well, so with holding an articulated truck licence I know my way around on wheels.

I have found that my relaxed common sense approach suits most people including those very nervous pupils out there! I cover the Coalville area of Leicestershire using mainly the Loughborough and Hinckley test centres although when a short notice test is needed I’ve used others in adjacent counties. The following pages contain basic safety checks that you can carry out on your car. You may be questioned on some of these on your test but they are also for your benefit beyond your test.

This is my tuition car, the Toyota Aygo small yet roomy and easy to drive with excellent all round visibility.

Prices
First two lessons for a beginner are £15 per hour lesson, then £20 per hour lesson thereafter. 10% discount for 5 or more lessons paid in advance and a free lesson if you introduce a person who then starts learning with me. A free theory  CD-Rom or book on your 5th lesson.
